Gerald R. Ford International Airport located 54 miles northeast of the lake provides several kinds of flights to suit any needs along with amenities in the airport such as small shops and restaurants. The shops and restaurants offer basic necessities and dining options before and after flights.

Outdoor Recreation

From boating, fishing, camping, and hunting, there are many activities for people of all ages to enjoy outdoors enjoying the beauty of the water and nature. Boaters and fishermen can cruise along the waters enjoying a nice, relaxing day catching a lot of largemouth bass and possibly finding a few other species of fish along the way. There are restrooms there, but sometimes the door is locked to get in. This is a great park to spend the day on or even host birthday parties at.

Located 18 miles west of the lake is Lake Arvesta Farms with over 1888 acres of outdoor recreation activities for everyone to enjoy. There are indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, 4-lake Aqua Park, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more. At Aqua park, there are floating obstacle courses, water slides, and cable wakeboards for some water fun. The disc golf course provides 9,600 feet of challenging and scenic courses. The area also has dining options offering a variety of meals for everyone at affordable prices.
