Baldwin is next to the Indiana-Michigan border, with it being less than 10 minutes away. The nearest airport, Gerald R. Ford International, is around an hour and a half north in Grand Rapids, MI. The closest hospital, Three Rivers Health, is about 25 minutes northeast in Three Rivers, MI.

Fishing reports indicate that Baldwin is a great freshwater fishing location! Species reported to be here are bluegill, largemouth bass, and northern pike. Baldwin is a privately-owned lake, so there are not many public access ramps available. There is one in Willow Shores Campground on the northwestern portion of Baldwin, but you need to be a guest there to use the public ramp.

Dr. Lawless International Dark Sky Park is a perfect place to go to enjoy nature to its fullest. The park is located around 20 minutes north in Vandalia. There are seven miles of hiking trails, a golf disc area, horseshoe pits, and more. In 2020, the park was converted to what is known as a dark site. A dark site is an area that allows people to see the night sky uninhibited by light pollution, so at night visitors will get the perfect view of the stars! Four Lakes Country Club, located 13 minutes west in Adamsville, is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon!
